My Devotion Today

"Thy Father which seeth in secret Himself shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:4
Isn't it wonderful that our heavenly Father sees everything and knows all about everybody? He sees when you help someone who has a need. He knows when your heart is aching and things go wrong. He hears and responds when you call on Him in prayer. Even though you pray silently or in a secret place, the Lord sees and will reward you. One place in the Bible reads: "Thou God, seest me." You may feel, as the Bible character did, that you are cast out and alone. You may feel that no one cares about you and your family but the Lord does care. He sees and knows every need.
How solemn to realize that He sees the evil in the world and in people's hearts and will take care of that too. May our hearts be in tune with the Lord so that we are doing His will and glad that He sees us.
What comfort while on earth below,
To my Father I can go
For others. He sees all I do
And gives rewards when I am through.
