"If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain." I Corinthians 15:14
The fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead proves that the gospel is true. It is wonderful to know that we don't have to say "what if?" We can say, praise God, Christ is risen from the dead! Our preaching is for God's glory and to call others to come to Christ. Our faith is a reality because it is centered in Jesus Christ, our risen Lord.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ proved the supernatural power of God. He was raised for our justification. Because Jesus rose from the dead, we can receive His forgiveness and be justified - "just as if" we had never sinned. Our slate can be wiped clean, so to speak.
As we witness to others, we can have the assurance that it is not in vain because truly Christ is risen from the dead.
Christ is risen from the dead-
Scripture's fulfilled as He said!
Gospel preaching is not in vain;
Faith now sings in triumphant strains.
