"The word of the Lord came again unto me..." Ezekiel 27:1
In the Old Testament we read these words many times: "the word of the Lord came again unto me..." It is comforting to know that the Lord speaks to His people. Just as in the days of our forefathers, the Lord's word comes to Christians today. We must first of all read it with a yielded heart to hear what God says.
When we are completely committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and we read His Word, it will become hidden in our hearts. When the Lord brings a portion of His word to our memory, we can be sure that it is something helpful for us to know.
Many times it will bless someone else if you will pass along the verse to another. It will then become a double blessing. The Holy Spirit knows when and what to bring to our hearts to encourage us to keep on for Jesus. Listen carefully as the Lord brings His Word again to your memory and heart today.
The word of the Lord came again;
How faithful is our heavenly Friend.
May I be as trustworthy too
To pass along Your word for You.
