"Come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18
This verse shows us that the Lord is reasonable. He alone can forgive sins. His blood alone has the power to wash us white as snow or like wool. No matter how many or how scarlet red they are, the Lord is able to forgive our sins.
As a sinner, it is good to have the assurance that God has promised His full salvation to all who come to Him. That gives hope in the time of deep despair. God says it will happen and we can believe it will. For the Christian, it is wonderful to know that Jesus alone gives salvation. It is not anything we can do or not do. We simply come to Jesus and He saves us by His grace. Only the blood can wash as white as snow. Look to Jesus today!
Our Lord is merciful and good-
In my place the Savior stood.
My sins, though scarlet, are white as snow;
He will keep me safe I know.
