"If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you." I Peter 4:14
To be looked down on because we are Christians or to be rejected or reproached brings with it a blessing for true Christians. When this happens, we can be sure that God's Spirit and His glory is upon us.
You might be the only person in your group that stands up for what is right in the Bible way. This might cause you to feel like you are all alone. Others might think you are a little bit odd or old-fashioned and might even make fun of you.
Just remember that the Lord knows all about your desire to please Him and do right. You will be blessed by Him. His Spirit will continue to guide you. His glory will rest upon you. Today, think of the happiness and blessings we enjoy because Jesus is our Savior!
Ridiculed for God's dear Son
After the victory He has won,
I am happy to be classed
With Him who has all tests passed.
