"There shall no evil happen to the just; but the wicked shall be filled with mischief." Proverbs 12:2
What a wonderful thing it is to be justified. Not only does the Lord Jesus Christ declare us to be just after He washes us in His blood, but He sends divine protection to us immediately. It is great to have the angel of the Lord camping with us all the time.
We can feel safe wherever we are. We are safe in Christ. There can be no evil that can come to us as Christians. Sure, there may be times when we have to cry out for the Lord's help as Peter did when he saw the waves, as Jehosaphat did in the battle and as the children of Israel did in their struggles, but the Lord always comes to our rescue.
We would never desire to be in the condition of the wicked so let's draw closer and closer to Jesus that He might hide us in His shadow.
How can evil harm my soul
Since I'm safely in God's fold?
He'll keep me from the stormy blast
'Til I am safely home at last.
