"As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Joshua 1:5
The Lord was surely with Moses. The many miraculous things that happened to him are indications of God's presence and help. But the most sure way that we know that God was with Moses is His Word.
God told Moses He would be with him. He told him He would not fail him or forsake him. Then God gave this promise to Joshua and to all Christians. The fact that He promised the same help to Joshua as He gave to Moses shows that He will do the same for all of His blood-washed children.
Wherever you have to go, whatever you have to do, just always remember that the Lord is with you. He will never fail you in any trial of life. He will never forsake you - under any circumstance. Take heart today. God is with us!
Never forsaken am I-
God Who fails not is standing nigh.
As with His servants of long ago,
He will be with me, I know.
