My Devotion Today

"Grant unto Thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak Thy word." Acts 4:29
To be a witness for Jesus Christ and to speak His word is a duty of all Christians, but to have the courage and power to make it meaningful, we must be anointed by the Holy Spirit of God. It is not only our duty and responsibility to witness but a wonderful opportunity to speak God's word.
There are times when we are weary physically and times when we are burdened or pressed for time. At these "out of season" times, we still, need to speak God's word with boldness. Only the Spirit of the Lord can empower us to be effective witnesses for Him. To act and speak in the will of God is the most important thing in life.
We say so many things that are not important. May we pray the prayer of today's verse with a sincere heart so that we will be able to speak God's word with boldness and be the blessing He would have us be.
Thy Word with boldness I would speak;
Thy perfect will I'll always seek .
But, if effective I would be,
Thy Holy Spirit must dwell in me.
