My Devotion Today

"Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path." Psalm 27:11
God's way is always the best way. When we pray for the Lord to teach us His way, we are asking for the true way of salvation through the blood of Jesus and the way of holiness and right living.
His word then becomes a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. As we go in God's way, we have His promise: "As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
We need the way to be made plain so that we will not err in the path God has for us to tread. God gave a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to guide His people. Surely He will guide us by His own way so that we will meet Him in peace. His welcome home will make His way, the plain path, worth it all.
Thy way, O Lord, is always best;
Lead and teach me in Thee to rest.
Plain paths of truth I'll always seek.
Help me to follow Thee and be meek.
