My Devotion Today

March 10
"I will make an everlasting covenant with you..." Isaiah 55:3b
A covenant is a promise that God will do what He says in His Word, and His promise to give us eternal life and keep us from falling was sealed with His precious blood on Calvary. God has always made covenants with His blood-washed children.
Part of His covenant promises to bless us and make us a signet for Him. He has promised to be with us always. He has promised to make us witnesses for Jesus Christ. He has promised to save our children. He has promised to guide us continually. He has promised to come again and receive us unto Himself, that where He is, there we shall be also.
These are just a few of the promises that make up the everlasting covenant. Since He loved us as much as He did and still loves us, we can be sure that He will do all that He has covenanted to do. We can trust the One who died for us.
An everlasting promise, Lord,
The best that heaven could afford,
Was sealed in blood on Calv'ry's tree:
Redemption for a soul like me.
