"The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble." Psalm 9:9
Jesus died on the cross in our place to save us from sin. Since He loves us that much, He will take care of us when we are upset and going through bad times. During a storm, we appreciate a refuge and we can be sure that the Lord will always be our refuge in the time of storm. He is our haven of rest, our rock. In Him we hide as a shelter in the time of storm. There is no protection more secure than our Lord Jesus Christ.
When our hearts are broken and we are crushed inside, the Lord is our refuge and hiding place. He knows how to pick up the broken pieces of our lives and put them together again. No matter what our circumstances may be, the Lord Jesus Christ will be right beside us with His help and blessings. We can bring every care to Jesus, knowing that He can and will make things right.
What a refuge from the storms-
I am safe in Jesus' arms!
Trouble cannot harm me now
For He has taken every care.
