"And hallow My sabbaths: and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God." Ezekiel 20:20
The Sabbath day was a special sign between the Lord and His people. They were to hallow the Sabbath days and the Lord would reveal Himself to them. They would know Him to be God ‑ the Almighty Creator and Sustainer of the universe.
To hallow the Sabbath day is to make it different from the other days of the week. It must be a day set apart to worship God and a rest for our physical bodies from the normal work of each week.
Let us who live in a crooked and perverse generation remember to make the Sabbath day very holy unto the Lord. May we teach others that the first day of the week is when Jesus rose from the dead, and we are to honor the Lord by keeping this day holy.
Make the Sabbath day special, friend;
You'll not regret it at day's end.
