"The waters shall be healed." Ezekiel 47:8c
The waters issuing from the temple remind us of our walk with the Lord. Though the past had been troublesome for the Israelites, they had God's promise of blessing and restoration. They were assured of God's tender care.
Just as the vision showed a deeper and deeper venture into the waters, so we go deeper and deeper into God's love. Finally, we are, as it were, in waters to swim in that cannot be overpassed. A mighty ocean of God's grace is opened unto us. The waters being healed give us an insight into the mercy and love of God.
Today, your way may be stormy. You might not understand all of God's dealings with you. Whatever your needs, whatever burdens you may have, be assured that Jesus will take care of them. He will come through with mighty power and help you because of the blood of the everlasting covenant. Look to Jesus!
The waters shall be healed, dear friend;
Christ knows what lies around the bend.
I'll trust in Christ to lead the way,
For He will bring a brighter day.
