"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." Psalms 12:6
God's word is a treasure to us. All His words are pure. They are like precious metal such as silver that has been melted by the fire and purified seven times to denote a perfect purification. How carefully the refiner cleanses the silver of all dross to make sure it is completely perfect.
So the Holy Spirit of God very carefully gave us the Word of God so that we have the pure, unadulterated Word of the living God. May we be thankful for our glorious and goodly heritage of the Word of God. May we, by the help and grace of God, live by the precepts set forth in the Bible and glorify the author of the Bible. May we realize our privilege to share this pure Word with others.
The words of the Lord are pure,
For whatever He says is sure.
As purified silver and gold
God's word makes us every whit whole.
