My Devotion Today

"Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
As human beings, it is so easy to be troubled and afraid over many things. But as Christians, we can come to the realization that the Lord is in control of our lives and we need not be troubled or afraid.
Whatever our circumstances may be, let us remember that they had to pass through the providence of the Lord before they could reach us. The Lord would not have allowed them to happen but for the fact that He knew He would help us through those circumstances.
His grace, His power, His mercy, His strength is at our disposal in every trial of life. Oh, that we would learn to just rest in the Lord and trust in Him. It would be so much more pleasant than for us to be fretful and troubled. Then fret not nor worry; our Savior cares and understands. He will see you through.
My heart will not be afraid-
I will trust the Lord instead.
When the storm clouds come my way,
Jesus turns my night to day.
