"...The desire of the righteous shall be granted." Proverbs 10:24b
The Christian's desires shall be granted because he is dead to sin and desires only what pleases God. The Lord is faithful to grant them. The wonderful part is that the Lord gives us the right desires. He alone can guide our desires so that we will want only the will of the Lord done always.
We have been clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We love what God loves and likewise hate what God hates. When we surrender our will to the Lord, He creates the right desires in us.
Therefore, the desires we have will naturally be granted because they are in accordance with the will of God. What a wonderful life we have as Christians when we surrender all to Him.
What I desire will surely come true;
The same can be true for you.
My desire is for God's will-
Which He always delights to fulfill.
