"...I will accept you saith the Lord God." Ezekiel 44:27c
To be accepted is a satisfying feeling. To be accepted by the Lord is the highest and most rewarding feeling possible. In all places that God accepts people it is because a sacrifice has been made.
In the Old Testament, an animal was slain and the blood offered as a symbol of Christ's dying in our place. In the New Testament, we have the actual account of Christ becoming our sacrifice. He became the Lamb of God to make it possible for us to be accepted by God. His life was sinless and without spot or blemish. He took all of our sorrows, our sicknesses, and our sins so that we can be at peace with our Maker and accepted by Him.
To be accepted is truly grand-
To know that Jesus holds our hand.
'Twas all because of Calvary
And Christ's shed blood that we are free.
