"My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him." Psalm 62:5
The strength of the Lord is almighty and infinite. He has all power. We wait upon Him only since He guides the affairs of our lives. We expect Him to come to our rescue, to remove mountains of difficulty, to do all that we need done. He is our Rock, our salvation, our defense. We will never be moved from being "in Christ," by the help and grace of the Lord.
People can do only so much to help us. Whether we have simple tasks or seemingly impossible things to do, we look to Jesus. Our hope is in the Lord for our needs to be supplied. Our spiritual need can be met only by the blood Jesus shed for us on Calvary. We will wait for Him to do all we need to get us ready for His soon return. Jesus will make the difference in our lives.
My soul waits only on Thee;
From Christ all of my help shall be.
My expectations are all from Him-
This truth no power can ever dim.
