"Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit." Ecclesiastes 4:6
It is better to have less and enjoy peace and quiet than to have an abundance of things with trouble and anguish of spirit. As Christians, we have a home prepared for us with glories that we cannot, at this time comprehend. While we are here on this earth, it is better to have peace and calm in our home (even if we have very little of this world's goods) than to have an abundance with trouble and heartache.
If the Lord provides more for you than some people have, just remember to keep a meek and quiet spirit. It is the condition of our souls that is really important, and the Lord will add whatever else He knows we should have. No matter what your circumstances are today, keep in mind your future with the Lord. Let us be thankful for whatever the Lord provides.
Since for me my Lord knows best,
I would much rather have far less.
Let all travail in me now cease,
And fill my spirit with Thy peace.
