My Devotion Today

"When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads: for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28
This world is filled with strange and evil happenings. There are many wrongs and confusions we cannot understand. There is evil that seems to flourish and prosper. There are those who live only for themselves and as many things as they can get. It is enough to discourage those who seek to do right.
However, instead of being crushed by life's difficulties and the signs of the times, the Lord has told us to lift our heads and look up. Jesus is coming soon. Our redemption draweth near. We can rejoice that we know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We know that He will right all wrongs. He will make the crooked places straight.
He triumphed over evil when He died on the cross and He will set up His earthly kingdom and righteousness will reign for ever. Let our hearts' cry be "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
When these things shall come to pass
We'll know these days are surely the last.
We can lift our heads up high,
For our redemption draweth nigh.
