"I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap..." Ezekiel 22:30
The Lord needs people who are willing to work for Him. He needs us to fill in at the hedges and gaps of human needs. The Lord is always searching for those who are willing to do His tasks. He is looking for those who are willing to stand up for what is right even if it is not popular to do so. God is looking for those who are willing to live by His Word and live to please Him first of all. He is looking for those who will be true and faithful to Him in all the changing circumstances of life. He is looking for those who will share His Word with others and witness for Him. May the Lord find us willing to do His will in this life so that He can say "well done" when we stand before Him.
Help me to make up the hedge;
Help me to stand in the gap-
To keep souls back from the edge
By pointing to sin's deadly trap.
