"We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29
God has a standard. It is His word and we must obey that. When people want us to do things against what God says, we must obey God instead of people. The only way we can obey God is through our Lord Jesus Christ. He said, "Without Me ye can do nothing."
He keeps the Christian from evil, so we can depend on Jesus. God is our loving Heavenly Father. He is our Savior and our God! We owe our allegiance to Him.
Our first responsibility belongs to God. When men tell us to do anything that conflicts with God's law, we have to obey God rather than men. Let Him live in you in such a way that you will obey God in all things.
May the Lord Himself help us to keep Him first in our lives. Our obedience to Him will please Him and make our lives happier and more successful. Man may try to lead you astray but the Lord is faithful to keep our footsteps in right paths for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Obedience is the way
I want to live from day to day.
No matter what others say,
In God's holy way I choose to stay.
