My Devotion Today

"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life." Revelation 3:5
We cannot overcome the trials of life in our own strength. We must trust in the Lord to help us overcome. Praise God, there is a Savior, even the Lord Jesus Christ, who is able to keep us in the hour of temptation.
There are many promises to the overcomer. This verse promises that we will be clothed in white raiment and not have our names blotted out of the book of life.
Since we can't keep ourselves, it is up to our Savior to keep us from falling. We have committed our souls, our bodies, our all into His care and keeping. Salvation is all of grace - the unmerited favor of God.
When we realize that we are kept by the power of God, we will have the victory and not be defeated. The blood of Jesus has power to help us overcome.
An overcomer I will be
All because Christ died for me.
My name is in the book of life;
He will keep me in the strife.
