My Devotion Today

"Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth, with all your heart; for consider how great things He hath done for you." I Samuel 12:24
When the word of God says to serve Him in truth - think of what it means. Jesus said: "I am the truth...," so to serve Him in truth means we have to accept Him alone as our Savior - not our doing good deeds and Jesus but just trusting in Jesus alone to save us; then we will do good deeds.
With all your heart means He must be first always - Jesus must mean more to you than anyone or anything. May we have the respect we should have for our Holy Lord and praise Him for all He does for us each day.
The fear of the Lord is a necessary part of our lives; we must have a godly fear of the Lord who is Almighty God. This fear includes wonder and awe of Him and the bountiful gifts He bestows on us each day. May the Lord Jesus Christ, who is Truth, guide you today in worship and adoration of the Almighty.
High and lifted up is He-
God of all eternity.
He has done so much for me,
I will serve Him faithfully.
