"Be of good cheer, it is I; be not afraid." Mark 6:50
The Lord wants you and me to know that He is in control of our lives. Whatever you face today, no matter how hard it is, He wants you to be cheerful and know that He allows the events of our lives.
We don't need to be afraid because we know that Jesus will work all things out for us. The Lord calms every storm in our Christian hearts and lives. Jesus stands as conqueror of every situation.
Just as He spoke peace to the angry waves so long ago when His disciples were frightened, He says to us, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." This is My design for your life. It is part of the plan. I am in control. All is well. How wonderful that we don't have to fret or be fearful. The Lord is on His throne and He careth for you!
I don't have to be afraid-
Even now my heart is glad.
Jesus tells me, "it is I";
I can rest for He is nigh.
