"The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him." II Chronicles 16:9
What comfort it is to know that the Lord is watching over our lives. He is guiding, protecting, coming to our rescue with great strength and power. The condition for such a Fatherly watch-care is that our hearts be perfect toward Him.
In order for our hearts to be perfect toward the Lord, they must be thoroughly washed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ in salvation and in sanctification.
We must have an eye single to the will of God - wanting what the Lord wants for our lives. We must love what God loves and hate what God hates.
However weak or insignificant we may feel or be, may our hearts be perfect toward the Lord. Since He is our perfect Savior and has our hearts in full surrender, He ever watches over us.
I desire a perfect heart
Which will ne'er from God depart.
He will ever watchful be-
The Almighty cares for me.
