"I am the good Shepherd, and know My sheep and am known of Mine." John 10:14
Jesus is our good Shepherd. He guides us and guards us. He knows us by name and we belong to Him. He said that we are graven upon the palms of His hands.
We know Jesus as being good, helping us day by day. We know Him as a Shepherd who provides for His own. He gently leads us back in the path of right when we start to stray. It is comforting to know that Jesus as the good Shepherd knows about our cares and joys.
It matters to Him about you personally. Even though He has many sheep, He cares about you as His own. One day this good Shepherd will come again. He said, "Behold, I come quickly" and He will take us to be with Him forever. I'm glad Jesus is mine and I am His for evermore. Aren't you?
Gently leading day by day,
Savior keep me lest I stray.
Even if my path is steep,
You have promised, Lord, to keep.
