My Devotion Today

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." Proverbs 18:10
It is good to know that Christians have a place of safety into which we can run. When we are in physical danger or spiritual danger, we need a strong tower in which to hide. Our place of safety is in the name of the Lord.
How wonderful to know that in Christ we have all that we need. When folks misunderstand us, let's run to Christ. When we are disappointed and hurt, let's run to Christ. When the storms come and we need a safe place, we can run to Jesus in prayer. We will find Him to be a safe place in which to hide, a strong tower of safety.
When things go wrong and we don't know what to do, we can run to Jesus in prayer. He will help us to know the right way to go and the right thing to do. He invites one and all to "Come unto Me." There is no place any more secure than hiding in Christ Jesus. How tenderly He cares for you.
I have a safe place to hide-
'Tis in the name of the Lord.
Naught else can safety afford,
So here I'll ever abide.
