My Devotion Today

"He hath made Him to be sin for us who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." II Corinthians 5:21
God made Jesus to be sin for us. Because Jesus never sinned, He could take our place on the cross. We are the ones who deserved to die for our sins, but Jesus in His love and mercy became our substitute.
The only way we can be made righteous is through the blood of Jesus. He alone can clothe us with His righteousness to make us acceptable in the sight of God.
How thankful we should be for the marvelous work that Jesus did to become our Savior. He was the spotless lamb of God. He went about doing good, and yet He wanted us to be reconciled to God, so He paid the supreme price by giving His own life.
What joy to know that He gives His own righteousness to us so that we will be acceptable before our Heavenly Father. Such grace! Such wondrous grace!
God made Jesus to be my sin;
Because of Him I now can win.
May You always shine through me
Other lives to bring to Thee.
